How to Apply for DSP Services

The Disabled Students Program (DSP) has the responsibility of coordinating academic support services for students with disabilities. As you progress toward your educational goals, you may encounter academic situations where our support can be useful. However, before we can approve and provide accommodations, you are required to disclose your disability and send appropriate documentation to our office. The first step is to access the DSP System via the DSP Portal link on our home page. Once you have logged onto our secure site, you may disclose your disability or disabilties and submit documentation through direct file upload to our system. We require written verification from your treating clinician (i.e.: a medical doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, licensed educational psychologist, etc.).

Please do NOT send documentation of your disability until AFTER you are admitted and you have submitted your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). The following list shows the variety of disabilities for which we provide services, however it is by no means an exhaustive list. If you have questions about whether your personal disability qualifies for services through our office, please contact us at 805-893-2668.
