Hello! My name is AvaMarie (she/her/ella). I love reading, baking, cooking, hiking, and going to the beach. I am also a proctor for DSP and a member of Gamma Phi Beta.

Why did you want to be a DSP Peer?

I chose to be a DSP peer mentor because I have struggled a lot with my disability, especially coming into college on my own. I am very passionate about disability advocacy and wanted the opportunity to give back to the program that has supported me throughout the last three years, and made getting a degree possible with my condition.

Tip for fellow students?
A tip I have for fellow students is to get involved as much as possible! There are so many clubs and organizations that you can join, so don't be afraid to branch out or try something new.
